What is Hope's Home?
Hope’s Home is a rescue and rehabilitation home and sanctuary purchased by A Pathway to Hope in 2021, directly utilizing the services of a live-in dog behavior trainer. Rescue to Pathway doesn’t just mean adoption – it means rehabilitation of wounds both inside and out – and taking whatever time needed, in a home setting with rehabilitation, to prepare our dogs and cats for the ultimate goal of a home of their own.
Hope’s Home is a hidden gem on 2.8 acres in central New Jersey with 7 finished rooms to house animals, a master bedroom and full living room / dining room / kitchen / 2 bathrooms for our live-in behaviorist and the dogs, a full basement, solar panels, an in-ground pool, a barn and surplus land for tiny houses, space for our Garden of Hope and walking trails.
Hope’s Home is an innovative solution to a problem that every shelter and kennel has – dogs and cats deteriorating in a kennel setting and becoming less adoptable. Hope’s Home is a home for adoptable dogs and cats, but also a beacon of hope for those deemed unadoptable due to medical or behavioral needs. The rescued dogs and cats welcomed into Hope’s Home under the care of our behavior trainer learn what it is like to be a beloved member of a pack and a home as they receive daily training to prepare them for a forever home.
