What is a Tiny Cat House?
We are constructing a Tiny Cat House to provide a miniature “at home” environment to be able to save more of the most challenging rescue cats, those with special behavioral and medical needs. The tiny house is a 10 by 20-foot house on Hope’s Home property, fully insulated and furnished with ample windows, electricity, heat, air conditioning and accessible plumbing. Volunteers will work with the cats to rehabilitate them for adoption.
What is Hope’s Home?
Hope’s Home is a unique animal rescue foster home dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, training and adoptions. Our goal at Hope’s Home is to provide cage free / kennel free, home-based intensive rehabilitation. Hope’s Home is a home for adoptable dogs and cats, but also a sanctuary space - a beacon of hope for the most challenging dogs and cats, those with special behavioral and medical needs. Rescue to Pathway doesn’t just mean adoption – it means rehabilitation of wounds both inside and out – and taking whatever time needed, in a home setting with intensive care, to prepare our dogs and cats for the ultimate goal of a home of their own.
Hope’s Home is a home where rescued dogs and cats live with an animal behavior trainer and receive daily, intensive training to prepare them for adoption, as they enjoy daily life, never knowing that they are homeless. The main home houses our dog and cat rooms, and the property has potential for expansion, nestled in a private wooded community on 2.8 acres. Long term expansion and renovation goals include restoring the barn into a dog training space, renovation of the in-ground pool for the dogs, creation of agility courses for dogs, new roof, foundation / basement remodeling for additional space and the installation of tiny houses for both cats and dogs.
How will your donation help?
Every donation you make today will be matched 1:1 up to $10,000 to build our Tiny Cat Home. Pathway is an all-volunteer, foster based rescue with a rescue home. That means that every single dollar you give always goes directly to the care of the animals we rescue. At A Pathway to Hope, we focus on those dogs and cats that truly need us. Our rescued dogs and cats come to us with a history of abuse and neglect, leaving them with medical and behavioral needs. It is our promise to begin the healing process the moment they step through our doors. Please help homeless, special needs cats today, as together we build our Tiny Cat House with HOPE.
